When you?re driving in your car you?re boxed in your own little world by yourself, or with your family. But when you?re on your motorcycle, you might be the only one on your seat, but you?re never alone. If you?ve got your lady with you, no words need to be spoken as your communication is nonverbal with the twists and turns of the road. You lean together as one to take the curves.

?It’s the ride of life the journey from here to there living and loving every moment like we have none to spare.? ? Jess “Chief” Brynjulson, Highway Writings

Non-riders wouldn?t understand the comradery that comes with riding a motorcycle. How you?ll wave when you pass another biker. This biker most likely is a complete stranger, yet we feel compelled to greet them, because they?re one of us. ?Riding provides a sense of community and connectedness.? ?It is that, but really, it?s about how we don?t recognise the little things in life, or appreciate the little things in life like belonging. A sense of belonging is a big thing today.? ? James Caan

A Sense of Belonging

You know this wave. The long- standing biker signature is a variation of two fingers pointed parallel or down toward the ground, as if a symbol of peace. There are different assumptions behind the reason for the start of the ?wave?. Some stating it stems from back when motorcycles weren?t as common, others state it was interpreted as a ?biker necessity? when they saw Arthur Davidson wave to William Harley. ? Regardless, there?s a certain peace found on the open road outside of the confinement of a vehicle. A freedom to race the wind alone?with a community of fellow bikers who?ve got your back. gothrider, biker t-shirtShow your love of the open road with this Gothrider t-shirt announcing how you Live To Ride.
