It’s that time again! We have all your need-to-know information for July’s biker shows across the U.S. Just make sure you’re letting your GothRider pride?shine wherever you go. Roar on the Shore, July 12 – 17, Erie, PA First up, we have the Roar on the Shore event. It’s summertime, so a rally at a beach just sounds amazing. And it’s the 10th Anniversary for this fundraising event, so we know it will be extra amazing. The schedule of concerts is impressive this year. Vince Neil of Motley Crue is one of the top headliners. There are plenty of rides and contests, as well as a drawing to win a new bike. Since it’s right on Lake Erie, there are plenty of hotels and campgrounds. Also, Gannon University is offering fully-furnished apartments for the duration. These are only two blocks from the center of all the action. Indiana Boogie, July 14-17, Springville, IN If Indiana is more your scene, head to The Boogie. The Boogie is another fundraiser event, with all proceeds going to ABATE to preserve and protect motorcycling in the state. Most of the events are on Friday and Saturday. Music headliners include Blackberry Smoke and Lita Ford. Other events include an arm wrestling contest, a tattoo competition, and a motorcycle rodeo. Tent camping and motorcycle parking is included with admission. Campers cost extra. Admission is only $40, but you must show proof of membership to a state motorcycle-rights organization to attend. Sturgis Kentucky Bike Rally, July 14-17, Sturgis, KY Well, if you just can’t wait for the real Sturgis, there happens to be a rally in Sturgis, Kentucky. This event is adults-only, and you must be over 21 to enter. Musical guests include Colt Ford, Mustang Sally, and the Toxic Pistols. If you can’t wait till August, the Cherry Bombs will be there Friday and Saturday nights. With contests, races, and poker runs, it’s three days of fun. Primitive camping with just a motorcycle is free. Other vehicles, including RVs, are nominally priced. There are few options for hotels, so plan on camping. The whole weekend is only $40 if you buy online. Wetzelland Annual bash, July 29-31, Van Wert, OH Another 21 and up bash is hosted in Ohio by the Wetzel Motorcycle Club. It’s a rally and swap-meet held annually. This year’s musical numbers are impressive: Jackyl and Hinder, among others. There’s also a bike rodeo, tattoo contest, and tons of vendors. Camping is available. Van Wert also has a Holiday Inn, Comfort Inn, and Fountain Inn. The whole weekend is only $70. Hog Wild Motorcycle Rally, July 28-31, Ocean Shores, WA If the ocean is more your scene, head to the Hog Wild Rally. This event is hosted by the Quinault Beach Hotel and Casino. The $60 VIP registration includes a souvenir t-shirt, as well as tons of events. There’s a poker run and poker walk, biker games, a Land and Sea buffet, and a barbecue feast. Hell’s Belles performs Friday night. The hotel is offering several packages that include VIP tickets and rooms at discounted rates. They also offer a campground, which can be reserved through the hotel, as well.
